ARCHITECTURE OF THE META-LEVEL
I. Status of the Document
This document fixes the architecture of the meta-level of Project "Ashkhar" as a system for maintaining the Canon.
The document does not form a project management system, does not finalize the Canon, and does not create a center for coordinating levels.
Its function consists in maintaining the interrelation of meta-level documents without turning them into a normative or managerial structure.
II. Subject of the Document
The subject of the document is the meta-architectural level as a system of documents that maintain level distinctions, transitions, limits of application, and protection against degradation.
The meta-level works not with the content of the Canon, but with the architecture of its correlation.
III. Architecture of Level M
The meta-architectural level M includes the following documents:
| Document | Function |
|---|---|
| M-1 | integrity of the Canon |
| M-2 | title statuses |
| M-3 | working matrix |
| M-4 | degradation matrix |
| M-5 | transition matrix |
| M-6 | usage regulations |
| M-7 | architecture of the meta-level |
Documents of this level do not form a hierarchy, do not coordinate levels, and do not manage the project.
IV. Principle of Incompleteness
The meta-level is not a completed system and permits further development. It does not fix the final architecture, does not design subsequent levels, and must not turn into a universal methodology. Incompleteness is a condition for the existence of the meta-level.
V. Signs of Degradation
Degradation begins when:
the meta-level turns into a management system,
a center of interpretation of the Canon arises,
architectural constraints become normative procedures.
In all the above cases, the Canon begins to be viewed as a completed system.
The most dangerous form of degradation is the transformation of the meta-level into a hidden system of power over the project.
VI. Purpose of the Document
The document is intended to maintain the architectural integrity of the meta-level and prevent its degradation into a management, coordination, or normative control system.
The meta-level protects the Canon not through control, but through maintaining the limits of its centralization.
Architecture of maintenance.
