OPERATIONAL PROTOCOL FOR WORKING WITH CONFIGURATIONS OF CIVILIZATIONAL ACTION

OPERATIONAL PROTOCOL FOR WORKING WITH CONFIGURATIONS OF CIVILIZATIONAL ACTION

    Architectural Project Version: v1.0

    Document Revision: 1.1

    Status: Final Revision

This document establishes the mode of analytical work with configurations of civilizational action following their differentiation at level L2. The protocol is neither a methodology, an algorithm, nor a tool for applied analysis. Its function is to sustain the conditions under which a configuration remains distinguishable as a mode of organizing connectivity, without being reduced to its constituent elements, institutional forms, empirical states, or normative interpretations.

The fundamental principle of the protocol is sustaining rather than describing. Analytical work shifts attention from the question of what is present to the question of how connectivity is sustained, and from the question of who acts to the question of by what means action becomes possible. A reversion to elements as independent agents of action constitutes a loss of the analytical level.

Working with a configuration is carried out through an analytical cross-section, which sustains the configuration within a specific combination of dimensions from the field of differentiation and functional modes. An analytical cross-section is neither a description of an empirical situation nor a registration of a state of reality; it exists solely within the act of differentiation.

The registration of a configuration requires the simultaneous sustaining of the mode of preserving connectivity, the mode of emerging coordination, and the character of correlating contours and modes of interaction. These aspects do not constitute a sequence and cannot be analyzed in isolation.

The protocol also sustains the multiplicity of configurations: their coexistence, superposition, and intersection. It precludes the construction of a hierarchy of configurations, the identification of a "primary" configuration, or the reduction of their plurality to a single configuration. Concurrently, a strict distinction is maintained between configuration as a mode of correlation, state as an analytical cross-section, and manifestation as a mode of disclosure.

The purpose of the protocol is to preserve the analytical mode of working with configurations. It does not render the analysis more applied; rather, it safeguards it against reduction, enabling the transition from the language of configurations to the possibility of sustaining them analytically without losing the level.

    Formula of the Document

Engagement with a configuration consists in holding the mode of organizing connectivity without reducing it to a description of elements.

    Publishing Tagline

To perceive a configuration, one must hold not what it consists of, but how connectivity is preserved.
